UK: Report alleges Nando's chicken franchise uses complex structure to avoid taxes - includes company statement

A July 2014 Guardian report alleges that restaurant group, Nando's, uses a battery of offshore techniques to legally reduce its UK corporation tax bill by up to a third.  In a statement refuting these claims, Nando's says it paid over £12million pounds in corporation tax in 2013, 23% of the operating profit it made that year.  Related reports below.
