根据一项新的分析,东非原油管道将产生大量的碳排放。据专家评估,由于加热工艺,该项目将导致3.79亿吨的碳排放,高达东道国乌干达和坦桑尼亚年排放量总和的25倍以上。

东非原油管道(East Africa Crude Oil Pipeline,简称EACOP)将通过全长1443公里的地下加热管道将乌干达的油田与坦桑尼亚坦噶港的出口储运码头连接起来。

这个价值数十亿美元的项目主要开发方是法国石油巨头道达尔能源(Total Energies)和中国公司中海油(CNOOC)。
