adidas' response to Partido Manggagawa's rejoinder

20 October 2023

Thank you for sharing the re-joinder from the Philippine’s Labor Party, which references the above case.

Based on an assessment of available orders from adidas and its other current buyers, Sports City International (‘SCI’) decided to consolidate their supply chain in the Philippines and cease operations at their subsidiary factory, Mactan Apparel Inc. and in a subordinate printing facility, in Cebu.

SCI has continued to manufacture apparel in two other plants located in the Mactan Economic Processing Zone 1 and the Cebu Lights Industrial Park (MEPZ) 3 in Cebu.

I trust that this clarifies the position.
