Glencore's response to report by Misereor, Red Sombra and Facing Finance

We are disappointed that, despite the five years of preparation, the authors did not make any effort to engage with Glencore on the Reports during this period. The Reports contain unfounded allegations and misleading statements, the majority of which have been addressed by Glencore in numerous publications, which can be found on our website (http://www.glencore.com/public-positions/) and, as a result, we will not provide a detailed rebuttal to the Reports at this stage. We believe in the importance of constructive engagement and dialogue with all of our stakeholders and would welcome the opportunity to commence a dialogue with authors of the reports. We would like to take this opportunity to summarise our approach and activities in relation to some of the general observations made in the Reports...
