Lafarge Holcim's response regarding the situation in Egypt

LH Position Statement: Labour Discrimination in Egypt

As a responsible company, LafargeHolcim operates according to local law and global international labour standards everywhere in the world.

We confirm that our business in Egypt operates accordingly.

In Egypt, we are recognized as a responsible employer with 1500 direct employees across our 17 sites.

We also work with a range of service providers, creating further employment in our local communities.

Across all our operations we ensure we offer adequate working conditions as well as a safe and inclusive environment for all, in compliance with local law and our global code of conduct.

We work closely with our community to ensure we thrive together. For instance we received two CSR awards for our vocational training program at our Sokhna plant, led in partnership with the ministry of Education, providing Health & Safety management training to over 20'000 students since 2018 equipping them with critical professional skills.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have reached more than 100'000 people in our communities, providing essential goods as well as health & safety equipment and support.
