Response by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg

[T]hank you for giving us the opportunity to address the allegations. We kindly ask for your understanding that we cannot comment on individual client relationships due to banking secrecy.

Irrespective of this, we take your studies and the grievances mentioned in them very seriously. Human rights are an integral part of our values and convictions, which is why we have anchored them in our Code of Conduct (p.8). Through our membership of the UN Global Compact, we support the protection of international human rights. To identify and prevent human rights violations, we have integrated appropriate screening measures into our investment and lending processes. More detailed information on our sustainability activities and the safeguarding of human rights can be found transparently in our Sustainability Practices.

Further comprehensive sustainability related information can be found on our website: Sustainability at LBBW

Feel free to add this website to the LBBW dashboard on Landesbank Baden-Württemberg - Business & Human Rights Resource Centre (business-humanrights.org).
