This is a response to
Gig companies DoorDash, Lyft, and Uber are supporting ballot initiatives across the country that would allow them to avoid classifying their app-based workers as employees with full benefits.
Workers affiliated with the Massachusetts Coalition for Independent Work voice support for ballot initiative as they say it would bring new benefits for app-based rideshare and delivery drivers, while allowing them to maintain flexibility as independent contractors.
Senator Elizabeth Warren endorsed the Coalition to Protect Workers' Rights and called on big tech CEOs to withdraw their Massachusetts ballot initiative that would shield companies from liability for exploiting app-based workers.
