UN urges business input into Paris Agreement through new 'Talanoa Dialogue' site

The UN climate change secretariat has called on businesses, policymakers, and investors to submit recommendations on how the world can step up efforts to meet the objectives set out in the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A website was launched... by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in support of the so-called 'Talanoa Dialogue', which aims to track progress against the Paris Agreement's goals and enhance work to cut global greenhouse gas emissions... The year-long process is designed to review, share, and strengthen existing national climate change commitments and international efforts to ramp up emission reduction efforts. The aim is to report back on progress at the next UN climate change summit in Poland later this year, where governments will be tasked with finalising the rules that will govern the Paris Agreement.
