This is baseless article, there are no complains at labor office or Ministry of labor’s hot line for complains. No such complain at workers council, we have an elected workers council at the factory which is the first to get any complain.
Please note our response as follows:


Working Conditions


We are an ILO better works approved factory. Our satellite unit in Kufranja is fully compliance with local labor laws. You can refer to our better works Jordan annual assessment report and civil defense approval report. Both reports will confirm that we maintain required standards. Better works Jordan is visiting our factory regularly for assessment and training. Our workers are being trained in maintaining and following required standards.Our internal by laws are approved by the Ministry of Labor and middle management team is well trained in implementing them. 
Pls see below our company OSH policy;

Company policy for Health & Safety

  • Fire Fighting Team

The workers should comply with the health and safety regulation and instructions of the company and they should tolerate to follow the instructions of the Fire Fitting Team Members instructions. The workers who wish to join the firefighting team can make requisition to the Human Resources Manager of the company. The management holds the rights to change the membership of an employee to improve the quality of the performance of team. The members should inform their resignations one month in advance.

  • Health and safety Committee

The Health and Safety Committee is selected by the management from the competent workers in every department. The committee should meet once a month to discuss the health and safety issues related to the company procedures and to make decisions focus on the improvement and assurance of the workers’ health and safety. The workers should follow the instructions given by the Committee Members considering the same as given by the management. The members should inform their resignations one month in advance.

  • First Aid Team

« The first aid team will be selected from the workers maintaining adequate representation from every department. The company will train them periodically to improve the quality of service. The workers can inform their health and medical requirement to the members of this team who can be identified by the particular symbol they supposed to wear all the time. The members should inform their resignations one month in advance. The workers who wish to voluntarily join this team should inform the company Doctor or the Human Resources of the company.

  • Workers Council

« The workers council will be formed to establish the workers’ rights to union and for the effective communication and also to attract the participation of workers at decision making.

« The members will be selected by the consent of majority or on the absence of objections; the council will meet once a moth the election will take place once a year or in the event of resignation of a Council Member. The Section Heads should mutually corporate with the committee members for the execution of decisions and implementation of procedures.

  • Training and Workshops

« The workers will be subject to firefighting and emergency evacuation training twice a year and the new workers will be educated about the company rules regulations and safety measures as they join the company. The employees using hazardous chemicals will be trained as the requirement will be recognized by the Health and Safety Officer or the Management. The section heads should release their subordinates for such trainings on the prior announcements given by organizing party. 

  • Disciplinary Actions & Measures

« The company will take disciplinary actions against the violation of internal company regulations as they are elaborated in the Penalty Schedule approved by the Ministry of Labour – Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. (See the "Penalty Schedule")

« Company will not tolerate any involvement in harassment and / or abuse at any level , in any form, and disciplinary actions will be taken accordingly.(See the Harassment & Abuse policy)

Medical & Leaves

  • We have well equipped clinic inside the factory doctor is available in the clinic on daily basis further we have 1 full time nurse available. Pls see below our sick leave policy in below;
  • Company Medical facility Policy

The company will provide adequate medical facility to the employees with a staff of trained employees, Nurse and Doctor. The employees can communicate their health and medical issues to the medical staff at any time during the working hours and the Section heads should release them for such consultation without any disturbance. The company will corporate with external institutions for further medical assistance if required. The company will not make any deduction to the salary of employees with regard to the medical facilities provided by the company.

  • Sick leave

The number of sick leave days will be 14 days per year and this will be granted on the report produced by the doctor of the company. In case of hospitalization the company will consider further leave based on the reports that will be perused by the company Doctor in accordance with the labour law in Jordan.

Pls see below our annual leave policy in below;

  • Annual leave

The employees are given fully paid 14 days of Annual Leave for a period of 12 months. After the completion of Five years consecutive service, the number of such Annual Leave will be 21 days for a period of 12 months, for the fractional periods the leave will be granted accordingly. 

  • Short leave

The employees can take short-leave on the permission taken by the section head without any deduction to the wages but such leaves shall not be more than two times a month unless it is proven to be necessary.

  • Maternity Leave

The female employees shall be entitled to a fully paid motherhood leave before and after the delivery. This will be ten weeks provided the duration of leave after the delivery shall not be less than six weeks. However, the company shall not cause the employee to work before expiry of this period. The company encourages the employees to inform about their pregnancy status voluntarily for special concern to arrange light work as the case may be.

  • As per the above mention leave policy which is strictly followed by the management and till today we never have any complain received from workers. 

Over time

We are working only 8 hours a day 48 hours a week; from its inception till today we work only 8 hours/ day. We never worked over time in this satellite factory.
