Business Activities in Russia

We have a subsidiary in Russia that providing banking services.

We are not pursuing any new business there. We still, however, uphold our prior obligations and comply with regulatory requirements to perform settlement and other essential services for multinational clients with accounts in Russia, while prioritizing the safety of our Russia-based employees.

Our efforts to respect human rights

In our Human Rights Policy, we set our commitment to meet our responsibility to respect human rights, pursuant to the International Bill of Human Rights and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, throughout our global operations and our value chain.

Specifically, Mizuho strives to conduct appropriate human rights due diligence in order to prevent or mitigate the negative impact on human rights that could be caused by its business activities, and to strengthen its commitment to respect for human rights.
