...Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Limited (JVSL) is currently operating an integrated steel plant of 2.5 Mtpy at Vijayanagar, Bellary District of Karnataka State in India...To meet iron ore requirement of the steel plant, two of our sister companies...M/s Vijayanagar Minerals Pvt Ltd (VMPL) and M/s South West Mining Ltd (SWML)...are engaged in iron ore mining...In so far as the mining of iron ore by our two mining companies is concerned, it is hereby confirmed that these are mechanized mines including crushing units and engage around 220 persons and none of whom are child laborers.
