ERA [Environmental Rights Action] Writes Kukah On Ogoni

Only the faithful implementation of the Ogoni Bill of Rights by the Federal Government and an undertaking by Shell Petroleum Development Company to end further degradation of the environment can bring reconciliation in Ogoni, the Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (FoEN), has said. The organization in a memo sent to Rev. Father Matthew Kukah, who was appointed recently by President Olusegun Obasanjo to facilitate peace process in Ogoni and bring back Shell into the community, warned that justice to the agitation of Ogoni remains the key to reconciliation.
