Myanmar: Garment workers report multiple labour rights violations incl. dismissal of union members & safety violations; incl. co. responses

In October 2023, it was reported that workers at Amava Apparel were facing a series of violations, including trade union leaders and members being dismissed under the pretence of low orders, gender and LGTQ discrimination from supervisors, sexual abuse from supervisors, cleaning staff called to work on Sundays without overtime pay, and occupational health and safety violations.

In January 2024, the Business & Human Rights Resource centre invited Blaklader and Frasers Group (for its Karrimor brand) to respond. The responses can be found below.
