Nepal: Flash floods cause major humanitarian & labour crises, destroying homes & infrastructure & affecting thousands including hydropower workers

Recent flash floods create a major humanitarian and labour crisis Nepal. The floods destroy homes, roads, bridges and electricity infrastructure and affect more than 50,000 people, including around 17,000 children. Hydropower workers are among the most severely affected. Workers at several hydropower projects are reportedly trapped, missing or killed after tunnels, powerhouses and other facilities are buried by mud and debris.
