Worldways Manpower response re allegations of recruitment fee-charging by workers at Kwang Li Industry

...

Regrettably, we confirm the veracity of the allegations made against Kwang Li Company. The company failed to remit our service charges, arbitrarily deducted workers' salaries, neglected to provide essential wages, and deviated from the agreed-upon working hours stipulated in our contractual arrangement. Moreover, they repatriated 74 workers without prior notification, neglecting to compensate them as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) terms, which clearly state that the company is obligated to provide compensation in the event of unexpected returns or an inability to meet the workers' financial obligations.

Despite our attempts to engage Kwang Li through written communication, they remained unresponsive to our concerns.

In light of these issues, we sought the intervention of Mr. Andy Hall, who has been instrumental in facilitating a resolution. Following Mr. Hall's involvement, Now Kwang Li has committed to remit RM 3000 to each affected worker's personal account.

But about our service charge we didn't get any response from Kwang Li company.

We appreciate Mr. Hall's & The Telegraph Newspaper efforts in addressing this matter and securing a resolution. We trust that this payment will contribute towards alleviating the challenges faced by our workers.
