Allianz response to Justice for Myanmar report

While we do not comment on individual companies or projects as a matter of principle, we second your notion that it is important that investors consider ESG and climate issues in their business. Therefore, Allianz introduced an ESG framework already a decade ago. We would like to guide you to our human rights approach in our ESG Integration Framework (page 40) as well as our guidelines for the oil and gas sector (ESG guideline, energy restriction). These guidelines apply to our insurance underwriting as well as the so-called proprietary investments, i.e. the money we manage on behalf of our insurance clients.
