McDermott International response to Justice for Myanmar report

... "McDermott is not currently working in Myanmar. In 2018, the company was awarded a contract from Posco Daewoo Corp. for Phase 2 of the Shwe gas field development. The company’s involvement on the Shwe Phase 2 project concluded in August 2022—at which time all assets and people were demobilized from Myanmar following all standards and procedures for a safe exit. Throughout the project, McDermott complied fully with all applicable sanctions on Myanmar, including those issued by the United States and the European Union.

Our Sustainability and Governance policy framework prioritizes social responsibility and protection of human rights for all of McDermott’s operations. This includes procedures for continuous due diligence of business partners, and we actively monitor regulatory developments to ensure that we conduct operations globally within legal parameters and pursuant to our core values."
