Maersk statement

Thank you for reaching out to us.

In A.P. Moller - Maersk we are deeply concerned by how the crisis keeps escalating in Ukraine. The safety and well-being of our employees is of paramount importance and we continue to put plans in place so that all affected employees and their families get the support needed.

We are closely following the ever-evolving situation, including governments posing new sanctions on Russia. As the stability and safety of our operations is already being directly and indirectly impacted by sanctions, new Maersk bookings to and from Russia will be temporarily suspended, with exception of foodstuffs, medical and humanitarian supplies. This exception is to underline that our company is focusing on our responsibility to support society despite all the complications and uncertainties within current supply chain to/from Russia. We will carefully monitor and review the development of the situation.

In addition, we are supporting humanitarian logistics in Ukraine, in coordination with UN orgnisations and national governments, including Denmark.

We would like to respond to your specific information request, however, due to time restraints we cannot meet the deadline for today and would kindly like to ask for a week’s extension in time to enable us to respond fully to all your questions.
