ActionAid says Paladin Energy’s corporate structures & tax planning have cost Malawi US$43 million in taxes; company responds

A recent investigation report by ActionAid alleges that Malawi has lost  US$43 million over the last six years to Paladin Energy through "harmful tax incentives" and "tax planning" by the company. It says the money could have been used to improve social services in one of the world's poorest countries. On its part, Paladin Energy termed the "basis of Action Aid’s argument concerning tax loss as fundamentally unsound".
