Chevron's response to criticism of its activities in Cabinda [Angola

In Angola, we recently announced a $1.5 million contribution to the Environment Ministry of Angola over the next two years to aid the country’s environmental management program. The funds will be used in various ways. Along with supporting education, the funds will help train ministry staff in techniques for analyzing and tracking indicators, such as noise and greenhouse gas emissions...Chevron launched the Angola Partnership Initiative in 2002. The initiative’s goals are to promote peace and stability and improve health and education. It also seeks to help build the capacity of the Angolan nongovernmental organizations and government development agencies and to help reduce poverty through agribusiness and the development of micro, small and medium-size enterprises.
