Forestry scandal hurts PNG [Papua New Guinea] greens

[Member of Parliament] Sasa Zibe...told parliament on February 24 that Papua New Guineans were treated like slaves and lived in appalling conditions in logging camps run by Malaysian logging company, Rimbunan Hijau (RH)...RH's public affairs unit said the company operated in PNG in compliance with all the country's rules and regulations...The departmental report into conditions at RH logging camps was prepared by an "irresponsible officer" who failed to incorporate the company's response, RH said.
