Lidl's response re. Dragon Sweater

Thanks for getting in touch with us. Lidl expressly distances itself from the practices found at the producer Dragon Sweater in Bangladesh. Lidl has not had a business relationship with the named producer since early 2019, the last order was placed in June 2018. Lidl distances itself as a matter of principle from any violations of labor law and, based on international standards, has for years set a code of conduct for its contractual partners in writing. For many years, the company has been committed to effectively controlling the living and working conditions of employees in the supply chains and improving them in the event of deficits. If we have any information about violations of our requirements, we will investigate immediately. We know that our customers expect such behavior from us and in this sense Lidl stands by its responsibility, which arises from its role as an international retailer.
