On August 24, 2005, Anvil Mining Limited organized a visit to the Dikulushi copper mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for a group of NGOs from the town of Lubumbashi and RAID, the British NGO represented by Mrs Patricia Feeney, its Executive Director...The purpose of this visit was to view the operating activities of the Dikulushi Mine...visit the main villages from Dikulushi village to, and including Kilwa village, in order to observe the Company’s investments in the various social programs...and to gain a better understanding of the events surrounding the Kilwa Incident of October 2004.
