Peru: Government fails to address reactivated conflicts in indigenous and local communities critical of Chinese mining company Las Bambas, according to NGO; with company comments

New road closures by communities protesting noise and pollution from particulate matter, destruction of roads and difficulties with Chinese mining Las Bambas [part of GMM, part of China Minmetals].  The protests occur as the country emerges from the political crisis that put the Vizcarra government on edge. The company produced a statement on the conflict.
