 ‘South African platinum firms deny 'inflammatory' tax evasion claim’,  30 May 2014: South Africa's leading platinum producers dismissed claims of tax evasion made by a union negotiator, with Anglo American…the biggest of the three, threatening legal action if they continued. Association of Mineworkers and Construction Union (Amcu) negotiator Brian Ashley made the allegations against Amplats, Impala Platinum and Lonmin as a strike by around 70,000 Amcu workers nears its 19th week.
