In November 2021, Just Eat drivers in Sheffield employed by Stuart Delivery went on strike over Stuart Delivery's new pay model based on the distance couriers travelled per delivery.

Under the new model, workers said they would face cuts to pay on deliveries under 0.5 miles from £4.50 to £3.40.

According to the Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB), this would leave workers on less than the national minimum wage after paying for car insurance, petrol and other costs, and called for Stuart Delivery to pay workers a minimum of £6 per delivery plus mileage, and paid waiting times after 10 minutes.

The strikes spread across the UK, including Chesterfield, Sunderland, Huddersfield and Blackpool.
