...According to a New York Times article, Facebook is now secretly developing software that will allow Chinese authorities to censor certain information on its site - in exchange for being allowed to operate in the country. Rights groups say this is giving into censorship.

Facebook hasn't confirmed or denied this story, but its chief executive Mark Zuckerberg has been publicly courting Chinese leaders in recent years. So is the social media behemoth giving into China's crackdown on freedom of the internet? Or is it just about business?
