Yamba Statement Approves Zimbabwe's Rough Export

In a notice issued to Kimberley Process members by chairman Mathieu Yamba, it was stated that the plenary, which just wrapped up in Kinshasa yesterday, "endorses exports of production from the compliant mining operations of Marange Resources [part of Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation] and Mbada [joint venture Reclam Group & Zimbabwe Mining Development Corp.] in Zimbabwe effective immediately. The notice was reportedly distributed without consensus of Kimberley Process members.
