Network service providers in Zimbabwe have  since 15th January shut down the internet on government orders, as the government seeks to curb protests in the country. A number of Civil Society Organisations including Access Now have called on the Zimbabwean government to respect the Constitution and Human Rights, and demanded the immediate restoration of the internet in the country.
