Response from TotalEnergies to Oxfam's open letter

"TotalEnergies fully supports initiatives for greater transparency and accountability in extractive activities. Our Company joined the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) as a founding and board member as soon as it was launched in 2003 and supports the important work that has been performed by the EITI in advancing the cause of financial transparency. TotalEnergies is cooperating in the process set up by the EITI Secretariat intended to build consensus together with the other EITI stakeholders on EITI expectations for supporting companies.

As an EITI board member, TotalEnergies respects and supports this ongoing process, led by the International Secretariat according to EITI governance principles. TotalEnergies meets all the EITI’s expectations for supporting companies and has published in its Universal Registration Document an annual report of the payments made by its extractive affiliates to governments, project by project, as well as the full list of its consolidated entities, since 2015.”
