We have received reports by Ogonis and other residents of the waterfront around Agip Base (offices) in Port Harcourt...in respect of a seemingly disguised plan by NAOC [Nigerian Agip Oil Company (joint venture Nigerian National Petroleum Company, ENI, ConocoPhillips)] to illegally demolish structures at the waterfront to facilitate its planned expansion of her present offices in readiness for the proposed movement of its headquarters from Lagos to Port Harcourt. The report further indicated that contracts to that effect had already been awarded to Homan Engineering (Nigeria) Limited...
