Business and Human Rights Spring 2017 Intern

The Business and Human Rights Division of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking a law student with an interest in economics, criminal justice, corporate accountability, human rights, or related fields who wants to expand their understanding and practical knowledge of human rights. Under the supervision of the division’s Senior Researcher, the intern will undertake research, analysis, and outreach tasks in the context of ongoing projects related to private probation and other predatory practices against the poor. Additional opportunities: - The intern will gain direct exposure to the workings of a large, international human rights organization, as well as to the HRW report research, writing, and publication processes. - The intern will have the opportunity to participate in an induction training on the internal working of HRW. - The intern will attend in-house events such as a speaker series events, and other events organized within the organization, particularly for interns.
