Corporate Responsibility Officer at The City of London Corp.
To increase engagement in the Corporate Responsibility team's initiatives by leading on the planning and implementing of the team's communications plans. Includes: theCity of London's Employee Volunteering Programme, Payroll Giving scheme, City Action programme, Lord Mayor's Dragon Awards, and Responsible Procurementwork. To support the Corporate Responsibility Manager and other team members where necessary and as appropriate to the grade.
The City of London Corporation is the local authority for the City of London; arguably the UK's most prestigious and dynamic area, yet surrounded by some of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the country. The Corporate Responsibility team works closely with public, private and community sector bodies to ensure that the City and the City's neighbouring boroughs are inclusive and thriving places to be.
Reporting to the Corporate Responsibility Manager, you will be responsible for communicating the City of London's Corporate Responsibility initiatives and impacts, in order to raise profile and develop programmes. You will have a strong track record in a communications role and plenty of evidence of producing communications that increase stakeholder engagement.
You will be responsible for promoting the City of London's Employee Volunteering Programme and Payroll Giving scheme, City Action; a free volunteer broker for City businesses, the Lord Mayor's Dragon Awards, and the Buy Social Directory; a procurement directory of social enterprises. You will have experience of both developing communications plans and implementing them. You will be a confident communicator, with creative ideas and excellent attention to detail. You will have very good written skills in order to produce regular communications (e-newsletters, website updates, brochures, social media, impact reports). You will also be a convincing public speaker as you will be required to lead meetings and deliver presentations. You should have an interest in Corporate Responsibility or Corporate Community Engagement, and experience of managing budgets.
Interviews will be held on 8th and 9th December.
Contract: Full time, one year contract

Salary: The salary for this job is £31,160 to £35,300 per annum inclusive of £5,230 London
