Position Summary

The Corporate Social Responsibility Analyst is a knowledgeable, passionate, and conscientious individual who will support various initiatives around human rights and corporate social responsibility. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a Regulatory Compliance Team in various aspects of human rights and corporate social responsibility from developing educational content, engaging with suppliers regarding recommendations to facilitate their compliance with legislation and drive ethical standards across the supply chain, and offering cross-functional support both internally and externally for any regulatory developments related to ethical sourcing.

Key Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Support the Anti-Human Trafficking (AHT), Human Rights, Corporate Social Responsibility and other ethical sourcing programs for companies, including supporting companies develop related codes of conduct, policies and standard operating procedures;
  • Staying up-to-date with any regulatory and industry led developments in the field of human rights;
  • Become a stakeholder in the development of the ethical sourcing solution through the Assent software platform;
  • Support the development of training and educational content;
  • Build strategic partnerships with various stakeholders from the private sector, not-for-profit, and Government;
  • Support all Assent teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Development, Product Development) to ensure they have access to the necessary regulatory information and tools they need;
  • Help position Assent Compliance as a thought-leader around ethical sourcing and human rights.

  • Degree related to Human Rights, Responsible Business Conduct/Corporate Social Responsibility or another relevant field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Strong interest in, and knowledge of, human rights in supply chains and/or responsible business conduct
  • Practical experience related to risk consulting, ethical sourcing, corporate sustainability, human rights, Responsible Business Conduct/Corporate Social Responsibility or similar
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally to attend and present at events and client meetings
  • You have grit - you are conscientious, will always work towards providing solutions over excuses, and are dedicated to achieving excellence and driving results
  • Proven ability to work independently with little supervision
  • You are proficient in the use of MS Office Suite (advanced Excel) and Google Applications
  • Intellectually curious with innovative and creative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills - you are able to juggle multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
