Join us.

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in Oxfam’s Global External Affairs Team within the Campaigns, Policy and Influencing Department. The team’s purpose is to engage with high-profile influential individuals who can add headline-grabbing impact and intellectual muscle to Oxfam’s campaigns on Inequality, Food and Climate Justice, and Rights in Crisis. The team works alongside the campaign teams and senior staff in Oxfam GB and Oxfam International to ensure we work closely with those influential names – whether they be leading academics, moral leaders or renowned experts – to help deliver and maximise Oxfam’s campaigning objectives.

Your role will be to contribute to the strategy of this small team, maintaining and documenting existing relationships for Oxfam and helping to extend our network. You will also work as a core part of campaigns teams to help them deliver influentials strategies for their campaigns, as well as with senior Oxfam directors to support their influential relationships.

What we are looking for

We’d like to hear from you if you have experience of external relationship management for an organisation – whether that be with political targets, celebrities, or major donors; excellent judgement and interpersonal skills; organisational and project management skills and an understanding of what makes effective advocacy and campaigning. You’ll also need to be able to deal with complexity, juggle priorities and have experience in delivering to and briefing senior staff. You will have a commitment to all Oxfam’s aims and in particular will be committed to putting women’s rights, and women’s voices, at the heart of your work.
