Manager, Social Issues, ESG Engagements

Location: London

Duration: Permanent

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

This is a unique opportunity at the intersection of responsible investment and corporate sustainability in a fast moving environment. It will provide you with an opportunity to advance the human rights agenda within responsible investment while aligning with the work of other global stakeholders.

As Manger for Social Issues and ESG Engagement, you will be a key part of the PRI ESG Engagements (ESGE) team, which is responsible for coordinating collaborative investor activities on ESG issues with investee companies. Reporting to the Head, Social and Environmental Issues, you will proactively develop and manage 2-3 in-depth collaborative engagements on issues such as labour practices in agricultural supply chains and human rights in the extractive sector. The role will also involve supporting signatories to build knowledge and to engage on social issues through other means, such as roundtables, events, webinars, issue research or briefings on selected social issues.

If you have significant relevant work experience in responsible investment and/or corporate sustainability, along with strong knowledge of social issues, including on human and labour rights, as they relate to responsible investment and corporate sustainability, we would like to hear from you. Knowledge of sustainability issues in the extractive and/or food and beverage and retail sectors would be advantageous.
