Updating the Resource Centre Digital Platform

The Business & Human Rights Resource Centre is at a critical point in its development. Our digital platform is home to a wealth of information on business and human rights, but hasn’t had a visual refresh for a number of years.

We will soon be updating the site to improve its usability and better serve the thousands of people that use our site to support their work.

Please take an advance peek at our new look, and let us know what you think!

Thank you,
Alex Guy, Digital Officer

Monitoring & Evaluation Adviser at ActionAid UK

From 2015 ActionAid UK, in partnership with 23 other project partners in 19 countries, will be funded by the EC to deliver a large campaigning project to raise international awareness and support for combatting tax avoidance and evasion and promote progressive and equitable tax reform.  The 2 year project will kick off in 2015.

ActionAid UK is recruiting a Monitoring & Evaluation Adviser that will oversee the project.

We are now recruiting a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor to ensure the monitoring and evaluation of a new European Commission funded project. The project is being delivered by 24 partner organisations in 19 countries and will raise international awareness and support for combatting tax avoidance and evasion amongst European citizens and activists in the global South, and promote progressive and equitable tax reform in developing countries. Use your skills to ensure the project is a success.

As a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor you will ensure that progress against results and project indicators are measured, and that systems and processes for aggregating and reporting on progress are in place. Working closely with partners you will facilitate and advise on the development of an M&E framework and build partner capacity to ensure data collected is of a high quality. You will ensure an overarching framework for measuring and analysing change is in place, and provide technical advice on the baseline research, mid-term and final evaluations. While supporting effective donor reporting you will promote project quality, knowledge management, shared learning and accountability to stakeholders throughout the project.

It is essential that you have experience of monitoring and evaluating complex cross-country/cross-European projects that involve multiple stakeholders and project partners. This will have involved providing leadership, support and guidance on monitoring and evaluation to geographically diverse members. You will have applied knowledge of project cycle management coupled with experience of designing data collection tools, and analysing large sets of quantitative and qualitative data. This will be matched by substantial experience of different evaluation methods and tools - particularly those involved in campaigning. You will also possess strong communication, numeric and analytical skills.
