Project Manager at ActionAid UK
From 2015 ActionAid UK, in partnership with 23 other project partners in 19 countries, will be funded by the EC to deliver a large campaigning project to raise international awareness and support for combatting tax avoidance and evasion and promote progressive and equitable tax reform. The 2 year project will kick off in 2015.
ActionAid UK is recruiting a Project Manager that will oversee the project.
Salary: £39,099 - £40,282 per annum
Contract: Full time, 27 month fixed-term contract

We are now seeking a Project Manager to lead the management and delivery of an exciting new international campaign project. The project is being delivered by 24 partner organisations in 19 countries and will raise international awareness and support for combatting tax avoidance and evasion amongst European citizens and activists in the global South, and promote progressive and equitable tax reform in developing countries. As Project Manager you will lead a central ActionAid UK team and take responsibility for managing the project to deliver the project results in accordance with donor requirements. This will mean ensuring plans, governance structures and administrative systems are in place across all 24 partners, developing reporting systems and overseeing financial management and communication. We will look to you to monitor activities across our partners, as well as make sure project outputs are implemented, outcomes are tracked and achieved. Important will be the ability to support partners to deliver effective campaigning activities in line with objectives, represent the project externally and manage networking with key stakeholders.
You must have extensive project management experience in a public campaigning environment and been involved in complex project co-ordination / management with multiple independent stakeholders. You will have developed and implemented campaigns aimed at engaging the public and influencing decision makers. An effective team manager, you understand the importance of sound financial management and monitoring and evaluating results. Able to work across organisational and geographical boundaries you must possess good communication, interpersonal and task management skills.
