Who they are looking for:
A Senior Consultant to join our growing team in the UK and contribute to the success of projects run by our teams in Germany, the UK and Switzerland. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working collaboratively within the areas of business and human rights / social sustainability / responsible sourcing
  • Experience working on these topics either within a corporation or a consultancy
  • Passionate about business as a contributor to sustainable development
  • Excellent knowledge of the business and human rights agenda and recent developments related to implementing the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights
  • Demonstrable ability to identify, assess and develop practical responses to social and human rights impacts
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven ability to deliver succinct, structured and impactful communications
  • Good relationship-builder
  • Comfortable speaking and delivering workshops and training to business audiences
  • A willingness to further strengthen your skills in business development
  • Sociable and supportive team player who is also happy to work independently
  • Good time manager who is able to contribute to several projects concurrently
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure to deadlines
  • Ideally will also have experience delivering human rights-related work in the field
  • Ideally will have an established network of contacts within the business and human rights sector

Key tasks your role will involve

  • Manage and lead client projects with minimal supervision from our directors
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Develop project proposals and perform the sales process with clients
  • Manage consultants, associates and experts working on client projects to ensure client needs are met and margins realised from project activities
  • Develop and facilitate client workshops, multi-stakeholder events and training courses
  • Further the development of our methodologies for identifying and addressing human rights impacts in business operations and value chains and working with companies to integrate findings into business practices
  • Communicate twentyfifty's work through different channels
  • Participate in thought leadership development and profile-raising activities for twentyfifty
  • Identify cooperation opportunities and pursue strategic partnerships for twentyfifty´s business development
  • Develop further expertise in an area relevant for twentyfifty’s portfolio (e.g. privacy, responsible sourcing, modern slavery/forced labour, worker engagement)
  • Management and administrative tasks relating to the business
