Senior Monitoring Verification Advisor at European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD)

The EBRD’s Technical Cooperation Team (“TC Team”) is at the core of the Bank’s technical cooperation activities provided to the Bank’s clients, where there is a lack of know-how, technical skills or expertise; facilitating capacity and institution-building; policy, legal and structural reform, and all other incidental activities and necessary components of support to deliver that assistance. TC refers to individual projects, programmes and frameworks and can be funded from the Bank’s own resources or funds made available to EBRD through various donor-assisted programmes.  In many operational areas, technical cooperation is key to the Bank’s client value proposition and instrument to transition.

The Senior Advisor provides intellectual and technical contributions and leadership to successfully mainstream the Technical Cooperation Results Framework (TCRF) across the Bank. The Senior Advisor advises Bank staff on monitoring specific TC projects and effectively managing the TC portfolio, and exercises independent judgment in verifying respective TC results. This will include advising, coaching and mentoring Operation Leaders, TC Review Committee (TC Com) members, TC Team members and other department staff to ensure sound and consistent management of TCRF.

The TC Team handles all aspects of the EBRD’s technical cooperation activities including provision of solution-orientated, specialist advice to the Bank and its clients in the quality design and delivery of TC projects and programmes.

TC Team has the following key specialist functions:

- policy function;

- design and advisory function;

- procurement and contracting;

- review and compliance;

- outreach and market development;

- reporting;

- administrative function.
